【内容提要】

明代是中国档案事业的大发展时期，这一时期的文书缮写制度、用纸制度、票拟批红制度、公文邮驿制度、保密制度、行移勘合制度、归档制度、利用制度等等，贯穿了文书档案从撰写到最终保管的各个环节，并且涉及从皇帝到朝廷臣工，甚至微乎其微的铺兵，使得整个明代档案文书事业显得更为严密。这些制度通过颁布公文体式以及用《洪武正韵》、《大明律》等方式颁布施行，不仅为明代其他各项事业的顺利进行提供了保障，而且也成为明政府处理各种政事的依据和基础。
